I already own a pair of Buyrew’s soft, flexible ballet flats and they’ve become one of my go‑to comfort shoes, so when I spotted this mary jane like style with the bow and strap, I couldn’t resist trying them. Normally I’m pretty frugal about flats, and if I hadn’t already been impressed by my other pair from this brand, I probably would’ve scrolled right past these due to the pricing. But because that first pair won me over with comfort and breathability, I felt confident giving this style a chance.I ordered the black pair, and now I’m wishing they offered a dark brown option because these mary jane style flats are genuinely comfortable like my other pair of ballet flats. The cushioning underfoot is noticeably thicker than what I’m used to in ballet flats. They’re breathable enough that I don’t end the day with that unpleasant sweaty‑flat feeling many of us know too well. The fabric keeps things aired out without sacrificing softness.Style‑wise, these are easy to dress up or down. They’d look great with wide‑leg navy pants, a black cardigan, and a simple knit top and polished enough for the office but still casual for everyday wear. They work for business casual, weekend errands, or even slightly dressier outfits. The only times I wouldn’t reach for them are freezing winter days or heavy rain. They don’t pinch, squeeze, or rub anywhere so far out of the box (though the heel is stiffer than my ballet flats.)Sizing was a pleasant surprise. I’m usually a 10.5 and often have to size up to an 11 to avoid tightness. Since this brand stops at size 10, I took another gamble. The 10 fits just right, and maybe even a hair roomy. I have narrow feet, and these have some extra width. If you’re a true 10.5, the 10 should work fine. The fabric feels like it may relax slightly over time, not because it’s poorly made, but because the material is intentionally stretchy and breathable. The ankle strap is elasticized, which makes it easy to get a secure fit without digging in. That stretchiness also makes these a great option for people whose feet swell throughout the day: pregnant women, diabetics, people experiencing weight changes, or anyone like me who notices their feet expand after hours on them. These aren’t the kind of flats I’d wear for yard work or messy errands, thought, since they’re too nice for that, and frankly too pricey to treat like disposable shoes. I plan to take care of them. Please make these in bright red, deep purple, or even a bold hot pink in the larger sizes. I’d buy them in a heartbeat.
